MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A Ukrainian special services agent in Crimea was offered to eliminate a Russian Black Sea Fleet serviceman by blowing up his car, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said on Monday. Earlier in the day, the FSB said it detained a resident of Crimea who was providing the special services of Ukraine with information about facilities of the Russian armed forces and clarifying the addresses of Russian Black Sea Fleet military personnel and public figures. «During investigative actions, information was obtained that, while carrying out initial tasks, the Crimean resident was offered to eliminate a Black Sea Fleet military officer by planting an explosive device under his car, which the suspect was supposed to retrieve from a pre‑prepared hiding place,» the statement said. The investigative department of the Russian FSB in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol has initiated a criminal case against the detained person on the grounds of a crime under Article 275 (treason) of the Russian Criminal Code, and a preventive measure in the form of detention has been chosen for him.RussiaRussian FSB Foils Ukraine-Orchestrated Murder of Officer12 August, 07:16 GMT
