Russia’s Dmitriev Calls Musk Peacemaker for Principled Position on Use of Starlink

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian special presidential envoy for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries Kirill Dmitriev on Sunday called US billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk a peacemaker for banning the use of the Starlink satellite communication system for coordinating attacks. «Elon is a Peacemaker. He sees the disastrous consequences of escalatory steps and understands the profiteering motives of warmongers who prolong war with unrealistic solutions masked by deceitful moral posturing and media campaigns,» Dmitriev wrote on X. On Saturday, Musk said that Starlink could be used only for defense operations, while employing it «for offensive drone strikes to kill people has never been allowed, nor should it be.»
